Visit to the Microsoft EBC Speakers Award Ceremony

I was at the Microsoft Executive Briefing Center (EBC) in Redmond with my dad to attend the annual Speakers Award ceremony. EBC is the place where Microsoft hosts VIPs, like CEOs of major corporations and Prime Ministers of different countries in the world and showcase its latest products and technologies.

While I didn’t get to meet the Microsoft CEO, Mr. Nadella, in person this time, I did get the chance to meet with many of my dad’s coworkers at the event. One of them, Frederic, told me he has accrued over 35 years of experience working on SAP systems which is really amazing! I also met Ken, who like my dad, works in the cybersecurity domain as a Chief Security Advisor. It was truly a privilege for me to meet with so many Microsoft experts!

I also found time to check out the exhibits at the EBC. There were animated displays and demonstrations on AI, Cybersecurity, Sustainability and many others. The one exhibit that piqued my interest was the Johns Hopkins Medical Center’s use of Azure to develop precision medicine system. Precision medicine is an approach to tailoring disease prevention and treatment by taking into account differences in people's genes, environments, and lifestyles. The system uses Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure AD (now known as Azure Entra ID) and other Azure Services. I learnt about these Azure services while preparing for my certification exams but seeing how they work together in real life was super cool! Maybe someday I could work on a project like this at John Hopkins using the Azure Solutions Architect knowledge I have acquired recently! 😁

Today was truly an eye-opening experience for me, and I wanted to thank Microsoft for allowing me to visit the EBC!
